Choosing KH Motorcycles for your motorcycle accident cover has never been easier. Though each claim can be different depending on your specific needs, it follows a general process which is highlighted below.
1. Get in touch!
It's never been easier to start off your claim. Just contact McAMS on their claims number below and then send us an email with the details too so we can liaise with them to get it started for you!
2. Claim Assessed
A claims handler from the team will then speak to you about your accident circumstances and get more details about what happened. You’ll then be honestly informed of whether it’s a genuine case. If it's good to go, we'll move onto the next step.
3. Claim Proceeds
If the damage on your bike due to the accident makes it unroadworthy, we'll immediately arrange to get a hire bike delivered to you. The bike will be at your disposal until your bike is repaired or if it is written off, you'll get to keep it until you receive your cheque for the value of your bike.
If you have sustained any loss from the accident and would like to make a personal injury claim, we'll be able to put you in touch with our approved solicitors who will open a claim for compensation on your behalf.
4. Claim Settled
If your claim is settled, you’ll get your bike back as good as new. If it has to be written off for any reason, you will receive a cheque for its full value. If you’re happy, we will then collect the hire bike and will send the bill to the other party’s insurance provider!
As per the Vehicle Body Repairers Association:
“It’s your bike and your choice where you have it repaired. The Office of Fair Trading, Association of British Insurers and Financial Services Authority all agree that it’s your right to choose who repairs your bike.”
